1. An exceptional communicator and life coach, Larisa taught us how to meet our soul mate. There are three easy steps. First, know yourself. How can you expect to meet your soul mate if you haven’t decided on your own values, beliefs, ethics and morals in advance? You have to know what you’re looking for. So second, make a list of the characteristics you want in a soul mate. Really? It’s that easy? Yup—put it in writing. Then, use your tools of visualization, prayer, meditation, and journaling to manifest your soul mate into your life. He/she is out there!

2. John Gray is the author of the Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus books. Did you know he wrote one for singles? It’s called Mars and Venus on a Date. He talks about the four types of chemistry: physical which creates desire and arousal; emotional, which creates affection, caring and trust; mental, which creates interest and receptivity; and spiritual, which opens our hearts, creating love, appreciation and respect. But here’s the interesting part: we cannot create chemistry. That’s right, we can only create the right conditions for people to discover how much they find us truly interesting.

3. There’s no scarcity of love! When it comes to salad, we know we need some lettuce, a little tomato, green pepper, onion and cucumber. But when it comes to love, we act like that man or woman is the ONLY person who can meet our needs. Only THEY are interested, listen to us, think we’re special or does things with us.  But isn’t that thought self-limiting? 4. A few years ago, Susan Jeffers wrote a book called Feel the Fear, Do It Anyway. I think that’s a phrase that probably applies to some of us at social events. Tell the truth—would you rather find a comfortable chair in the corner and wait to see if someone comes up to you? I thought so. Why not make the title of the book your new mantra?  Think of the parties and events at La Clef D’or as your personal experiment to feel the fear and talk to new people anyway. Or feel the fear and ask your new acquaintance to dance. Or feel the fear and let someone know you’re interested in dating them. Do it anyway.

5. Everywhere we turn, we find tips, suggestions and lists, whether for decorating, cooking or getting in shape. So when I found this article online, I decided to compress it into the top five tips for dating again. See if it fits with your experience.

• Acknowledge your feelings of doubt (What am I doing? Who am I kidding?)
• Practice the art of dating
• Don’t get too serious on the first date (Woo-wee, he’s THE ONE!)
• Learn to go with the flow (relax, breathe)
• Have fun (and smile)
